Christmas:

we had a big ole lovely christmas dinner and it was great. It was quiet and calm. That night we watched 'gladiator' with friends. the food was delicious and not typical scottish . thank god.

dec 26th.

during the day we went on a drive and explored some towns and castles...

 Dec 28th

Lynn and kristi were flying in at 7.30am.....so we thought. we get to the airport at 7am. the plane comes in. we wait. and wait. and wait. they don't come in. we wonder what could have happend to them. it was a direct flight. so we're thining elaborate stories. we wait until 9ish. then we decided to go to glasgowto pass teh day and wait for them to call...or something. finally around 11am, i look up the numbers of the girl's parents and call them. turns out they don't come in until the 29th. yea, so we just explored glasgow.

dec 29th.

we headto glasgow again. and the girls flight is delayed but by 9.30am they are here and dressed and tired but ready to spend the day in glasgow. So we go to a science center and explore like little kids......

it actually took us a while to find the building. we were at the next one over, called the armadillo.

 finally we found the correct buildings...

we went to the planetarium in the space center. then we walked to kelvingrove art museum. adn we saw a rainbow! it was great.

 Then they were tired after not sleeping for 36 hours or so, so we take a bus back to Ardrossan and head to bed early.

Dec 30th.

Today we went to Stirling and went to the Battle scene between tthe Scots and the English.....if yu've seen 'braveheart'....that movie. We saw the tower that was built abovethe battle scene then the Castle of Sterling.

and we saw another rainbow! after it stopped raining of course, but there was actually two bows!

Then we went back through a Loch (well around)

and now we're sitting around. Resting up for hte festivities that tomorow brings....we're heading to Edinburgh in the wee hours of the morning to explore the city. then we party all night! It's going to be a long day/night but fun. It's supposed to be rainy and windy and snowy....thus far there hasn't been any snow here....so we'll see how long we last.
